This survey, designed explicitly for the Chemical and Petrochemical industry surrounding the Houston Texas Ship Channel (Ship Channel Group), is published in July of each year.

The survey includes:

  • Comprehensive analysis regarding external competitiveness.

  • Salary range information is reported for each position along with the number of collective bargaining units, the number of companies that pay bonuses/incentives, and the average bonus/incentive paid.
  • Pay practices are summarized for each position

The VCC Compensation Survey™

This chemical/petrochemical industry survey is specifically designed for members of the Various Chemical Companies (VCC) located in Louisiana or Texas. The Survey is now closed, with the most recent publication released in January 2025.

The survey includes:

  • A full report of multiple compensation reports for 122 positions (80 Exempt Positions, 13 Non-Exempt Positions, and 29 Non-Exempt Hourly Positions) by three geographical regions, union/non-union, and VCC specific data.
  • Prevalence of benefits, salary administration, Operator, I&E, Mechanic and Lab progression, pay practices and more, plus an Executive Summary.
